From the early 1980's and on, the public has strongly expected patient-oriented medical care that exhibits quality and efficiency from health care teams, and the separation of the dispensary from the medical profession is progressively occurring in Japan. With this change in mind comes the need for clinical pharmacy.
The primary objective of the Educational and Research Center for Clinical pharmacy is to provide the student with basic and/or advanced clinical knowledge and skills designed for the optimal use of medication and medical ethics prior to the students' externship in a hospital or community pharmacy. Students will study pre-pharmacy practice at the Clinical Pharmacy Training Center. This facility consists of a dispensing laboratory; medicine nformation center; therapeutic drug monitoring room; sterile preparation room; and a training room used the instruction of medicine.
