Research work
The goal of our research is to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), hepatic fibrosis, atherosclerosis, and Down syndrome, and to develop the therapeutic strategy for these disorders. Especially, we focus on the participation of inflammation and oxidative stress in the pathogenesis of these disorders, and study them using a wide variety of molecular, genetic, cellular, biochemical, and pharmacological approaches.
