Our laboratory is focused on the development of new synthetic methods and their application to the synthesis of biologically active natural products and their derivatives. We are also interested in the development of antitumor agents and radical reactions using samarium(II) iodide.

1）Efficient synthesis of various heterocyclic compounds using spirocyclopropanes and its application to natural product synthesis.
2）Development of acetogenin analogs as a lead of novel antitumor agents
3）Radical reactions for the formation of heterocycles and their application to the synthesis of natural product.
