Overview

Radioisotope Research Center is a common facility for the research using radioisotopes (RI). In this center, we can use 60 kinds of radionuclides, which are indispensable for tracer experiments and molecular imaging studies. Our center equips radioactivity-measuring instruments (liquid scintillation counter and gamma-counter), bioimaging analyzer, cell-culturing environment (clean bench, safety cabinet, as well as CO2 incubator) and safety rack for breeding mice and rats. We are also performing advanced researches unifying diagnosis and therapy –THERANOSTICS by using HPLC system for the synthesis of radiolabeled compounds and by exploiting SPECT/CT for in vivo animal imaging.
